Mentor Privacy & Confidentiality Agreement

Mentors and Academic Experts are trusted with learners' personal information, work and questions. This agreement sets out how that information must be protected. Mentors accept it as a condition of working with Acadeosity.

Effective: 8 October 2026  ·  Last updated: 8 October 2026

01Parties and acceptance

This agreement is between Acadeosity Global Learning Private Limited ("Acadeosity") and each mentor, tutor or Academic Expert who provides services through Acadeosity or its brands, including Unilearno ("Mentor"). Mentors accept it during onboarding and it forms part of their engagement terms.

02Confidential information

Confidential information includes any non-public information a Mentor receives through Acadeosity, including:

  • learners' personal data, such as names, contact details, institutions, grades and personal circumstances;
  • learners' work, drafts, questions, assessment details and session content;
  • information about parents, guardians and partner institutions; and
  • Acadeosity's materials, methods, pricing, systems, processes and business information.

03What is not confidential

Information is not confidential if it is already public through no fault of the Mentor, was lawfully known to the Mentor before the engagement, or is independently developed by the Mentor without using Acadeosity's confidential information.

04Mentor obligations

The Mentor agrees to:

  • use confidential information only to provide the agreed sessions and services;
  • not disclose it to anyone except Acadeosity, unless required by law;
  • not contact learners, parents or institutions outside official Acadeosity channels;
  • not record sessions, or keep copies of learner work, without Acadeosity's written approval and the learner's consent;
  • not reuse, publish, sell or share any learner's work or materials;
  • keep devices and accounts used for sessions secure, with up-to-date software and strong passwords;
  • take extra care with information about learners under 18; and
  • comply with applicable data protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

05Permitted disclosures

A Mentor may disclose confidential information only:

  • to Acadeosity staff who need it to manage the Services;
  • where required by law, court order or a regulator, after telling Acadeosity where legally allowed; or
  • to report a safeguarding concern about a child or vulnerable person, in line with the Mentor Code of Conduct.

06Handling data on devices and AI tools

  • Store learner information only in Acadeosity-approved systems, not on personal cloud drives or messaging apps.
  • Lock devices when not in use and use device encryption where available.
  • Do not upload learner work or personal data into third-party AI tools unless Acadeosity has approved the tool and the use.
  • Do not take screenshots or photos of learner work or sessions.

07Security incidents

If a Mentor suspects that confidential information has been lost, accessed without permission or disclosed, they must tell Acadeosity at [email protected] within 24 hours and help us respond.

08Return and deletion

When a session series ends, or when Acadeosity asks, the Mentor must delete or return confidential information they hold, except where the law requires them to keep it.

09Intellectual property

Learning materials, templates and resources provided by Acadeosity remain Acadeosity's property and may be used only for Acadeosity sessions. Learners' work remains the learner's. Materials a Mentor creates specifically for Acadeosity sessions may be used by Acadeosity under the Mentor's engagement terms.

10Duration

These obligations apply during the Mentor's engagement and continue after it ends for as long as the information remains confidential. Obligations relating to learners' personal data continue indefinitely.

11Non-solicitation

During the engagement and for 12 months after it ends, the Mentor must not use confidential information to approach Acadeosity learners, parents or partners to offer similar services outside Acadeosity.

12Breach

A breach of this agreement may lead to suspension or termination of the engagement, withheld payouts connected to the breach and, where appropriate, legal action or a report to the relevant authorities. This agreement is governed by the laws of India.

13Cooperation and acknowledgement

The Mentor agrees to cooperate with reasonable requests from Acadeosity to confirm compliance with this agreement, including during an investigation of a complaint or data incident. By accepting this agreement during onboarding, the Mentor confirms that they have read and understood it.
