02Getting the most from feedback
- Bring your own attempt, even a rough one, so that feedback can build on your thinking.
- Make the changes yourself, in your own words.
- Ask "why" and "how", not just "what is the answer".
- Keep notes of what you learned so you can use it next time.
03Communicating respectfully
- Be polite and patient in sessions and messages, even when you disagree.
- Do not use offensive, discriminatory or threatening language.
- Respect mentors' time: share your questions in advance and keep to session times.
- Tell us if something feels wrong, rather than arguing in a session.
04Learners under 18
Parents and guardians help learners under 18 understand and follow this code. Mentors will never ask a young learner to keep secrets, move to private contact channels or meet in person.
05Staying safe online
- Use only official Acadeosity or Unilearno channels for sessions and messages.
- Never share passwords, your home address or other personal details in a session.
- If anyone asks you to keep a secret, meet in person or move to private messaging, tell a parent and email [email protected].
- You can leave any session that makes you uncomfortable and report it.
06Looking after your wellbeing
Learning should challenge you, not overwhelm you. If you feel stressed or anxious, talk to a parent, teacher or someone you trust, and tell your mentor if you need a slower pace. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a helpline in your country.
07If the code is not followed
We start with a conversation wherever possible. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension or closure of an account under our Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy.
